Enough is enough!

Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? So I love having long hair! Especially for our wedding, my stylist Robyn did an amazing job. She is incredibly talented.
This is one of my favorite pictures taken at the temple. I love my cute gram!
One more wedding picture:
Another one of my favorites! This was the happiest day of my life, and I really liked having long hair for this occasion. It took hours to get my hair this curly - who has time to spend hours on their hair?

BUT that is were the hair happiness ends. Now it is just long and manging looking. Everything about it takes WAY TOO LONG. It takes too long to wash it, dry it, comb through it. It gets REALLY GNARLY when it is wet and seriously takes FOREVER to comb through. I don't even attempted until it is dry. It is just a pain! Even just looking at it takes to long. Start at the bangs keep going, below the neck,  keep going, below the shoulders.  keep going, just about the waist, oh finally finished looking at it. In that amount of time I could have done like 5 other things at least.
This is what my hair usually looks like:
BLAH- again, super manging looking and just way too long. The other day I shut my hair in the car door. Seriously? Who does that? It really hurt. Also, I bent down to help one of my kindergarten student on the computer and I look down and her cute little face is buried in my hair. I am thinking it is time for a change. Then I hear about Locks of Love which creates wigs for financially disadvantaged children who have long term loss due to a variety of diagnosis. I have thought about cutting it for awhile but now that it is about someone else. I felt more courageous for such an extreme change. So on Wednesday I did it! I almost backed down when Robyn showed me how freakin short it was going to be. But I did it!
Here is the new me:
So it is an extreme A-line so it is a lot shorter in the back. I did freak out a little bit after the 10 inches were cut. But after it was done, there wasn't a whole lot I could do about it. I keep saying, "think of the children, think of the children." It was actually a really fun night. Robyn was just cracking me up! Funny thing is that my toothpick straight hair actually has a little bit of curl to it! Who would have thought?  I have never had my hair this short so I will have a learn how to style it but I am so excited for the shorter amount of time to wash, dry, style and even look at!

Now that I think about it, I did the good ole, bait and switch

Bait....

... And Switch

Actually Ted really likes it. I am much more resistant to change than he is! All in all I think it was a good change and it needed to be done. Now I will have more time for this little critter:

Good night!
